I'm a big fan of The Decemberists, and Colin Melloy's lyrics in particular, and being that we were still waffling our way out the long winter that was the pandemic, this song seemed a fitting project. This single had a soft release in 2022 to Patreon members as part of an experiment in planned productivity, inspired by Cal Newton's DEEP WORK. It was an absolute joy to put together and I hope it makes you happy on a snowy day, or any day.
